Order Manager: Database

If there are multiple PCs in the office, the Order Manager database can be shared so all PC's use the same database.

There are two ways ShipRush can connect to the database:

Direct: This means either the database is local on this PC, or can be reached using a network share (or network drive letter).

By PC Name: If the ShipRush service is running on the 'server' PC (e.g. the PC that has the central database), then simply specify the PC name here. To check if the service is running, select Start | Run  then enter: services.msc <enter>  Scroll to the bottom of the list and look for "Z-Firm ShipRush" If it is present and running, you can network just by using the PC name.

Please note that networking support is not offered by Z-Firm technical support.

On the 'server' PC, the Windows Firewall needs to be configured to allow shiprushserver.exe to accept inbound connections.

Backup:

If ShipRush is left running overnight, it will automatically make a backup of the database at the configured time.
