Supported Bar Code Scanners

Bar code scanners are used (optionally) in ShipRush for ADO.

ShipRush supports the following scanners:

• Symbol LS2208 USB scanner (wired)

• Symbol LS4278 USB scanner (wireless! much more fun to use, and no pesky cable!)  

When purchasing a scanner, it is crucial to get the correct kit (otherwise you end up with a scanner but no cable, or the wrong cable, etc.).

• The Symbol part number for the LS2208 kit with cable and stand is: LS2208-1AZU0100S

• The Symbol part number for the LS4278 kit with cable and cradle is: LS4278-TRWU0100ZWW

When you get your scanner, there is a required setup step. Print out this page and scan the bar code below with the scanner. This configuration is permanent and does not need to be redone, even after powering off the scanner.

After the scanner is configured, select the ShipRush system tray menu: Settings | Program Settings | CM Settings.

In the Getting Contact Info tab, select the USB Scanner Setup button. Select the scanner on the list. Scanning a few bar codes should result in the scanned data showing in the Data area:
