Imagine you are out in the warehouse, with 100 parcels packed, taped and labelled. You have one job: Get ShipRush updated with the weights pronto! Doing it by hand would be a bit slow.
If the PC is set up properly, this can be done very easily. Imagine just putting the parcel on the scale, scanning the bar code, and then putting on the next parcel.
Quick, easy, automatic, and brainless.
To do this, the warehouse PC needs the following components:
The scale and bar code scanner are configured in the relevant areas of ShipRush settings:
Then, simply pull up the shipment history list:
Put the parcel on the scale, and scan the big tracking number bar code:
The shipment is updated with the weight.
Done!
Now whip through the other 99 parcels in no time flat.
To set parcel dimensions (and even weights, if desired) from a pre-set list of options, use the ShipRush bar code reference.
When using a bar code scanner, the View Shipments list
needs to be on screen, but it does not matter what shipment is selected
(or even if the shipment being scanned appears on the list).
