Brooktrout
TruFax: Old or New?In late 2006, Brooktrout introduced the new "ROHS" TruFax boards. These boards are lead-free, to prevent lead and other hazardous metals from ending up in landfills (where they then pollute the ground water).
The New Style boards use a different driver than the
Old Style, so you need to know which board you have in hand.
The New Style boards are sometimes called "TruFax -R" boards, but the best way to tell is by the part number. The part number is on the TruFax box, and is also on a sticker on the board itself.
This list is authoritative as of late 2006. All the boards listed below are compatible with OmniRush v9, but the New Style boards are not compatible with earlier versions of OmniRush.
All these models are universal-PCI
boards.
