PCI-X Slots

This shows PCI-X slots. The white slots to the left are 64 Bit PCI-X. The white slot toward the right is a 5-volt, 'regular' PCI slot. Generally, 3.3 volt and universal PCI boards work fine in PCI-X slots, which were designed to be backward-compatible.

Note that PCI-X is not the same as PCI Express, which is simply a different animal.

PCI-X boards are not compatible with PCI Express.
