PCI SlotsIt is important to know what kind of PCI slots your system has. The first area of interest is whether the system has 3.3 volt or 5 volt PCI slots:

Brooktrout boards will work in 32 bit and 64 bit slots, so that is not an issue. The voltage key is the area of interest. Note that in the shot above, only the 64 bit slots have the 3.3 volt key. Many systems, however, have 32 bit slots that are keyed for 3.3 volts.
The mnemonic that works the best is that "Five volt slots have the notch toward the Front of the PC case." So remember the FF for Five and Front and all will be well.
Secondly, the PC chassis must be able to accommodate a full length PCI board if TR1034 or TR114 hardware will be used.
