Recorded Voice JobsThe recorded voice features let you control the exact message by recording it yourself with a microphone or converting an existing WAV file into a Z-Firm WAV file (ZWV). Recordings made using the Universal Client or the Administrator are ZWV files.
Create ZWV files these ways:
In the OmniRush Universal Client, select Tools | Record Voice Message, or in the Administrator open a Voice Track and select the Import/Record button.
The recording screen allows you to either record a new clip, using the PC microphone, or to import an existing WAV file.
Note
that WAV files must be mono. Stereo WAV files often will fail to import.
For serious use, an audio recording or editing program may be useful. Programs such as Adobe Audition (aka CoolEdit Pro) can be useful to create, convert, and massage audio files.
